The goal of the St. Alban Roe Youth Volleyball Program is to develop a child’s volleyball skills in a positive environment which promotes Christian values. 

Who can play?

• All boys and girls in 3^rd through 8^th grade this Fall who live within the St. Alban Parish boundary or attend St. Alban Roe School.
• All participants 5^th grade and older must have a CYC ID card. 

Practices and Games

• Practices are held in the St. Alban gym one night per week.
• Teams typically start practicing in early to mid-August.
• Games begin in early September and end in mid-November.  Each team plays 10 league games mostly on Saturdays but an occasional Friday night or Sunday afternoon is possible.  We are no longer doing a pre-season tournament, but teams can enter as many tournaments as they choose (only one will be reimbursed by St. Alban Volleyball).  New this year is a post-season tournament for 5th-8th grades and Parochial to determine which teams will represent the West County CYC District in the CYC City/County Championships.  More details later.
• Soccer and volleyball leagues do run concurrently but the scheduler makes every effort to avoid/minimize league game conflicts.
• Games will be played at the St. Alban gym and other gyms in the West County Area. (Ascension, St. Monica, Holy Infant, Incarnate Word, CPOP, etc.)

Late Registration Fee:  $25 per child.  A late registration fee of $25 will be added to any registration after Sunday, May 23^rd.  Any registration taken after May 23^rd will be wait listed if all teams are filled.  It is important to register on time to ensure your child will be placed on a team.

Refund Policy: 

100% refund before practices begin.

50% refund after practices begin, but before the first game.

No refund after the first game.

Uniforms:  The St. Alban Roe Volleyball Program will provide team jerseys for all players.  All jerseys must be returned to the head coach at the end of the season.

Coaching Requirements:  Each volunteer coach (head and assistant) must fulfill their Archdiocese obligation by being compliant with the following guidelines, otherwise they will not be allowed to help on the team: 

1. Attend Protecting God’s Children Workshop.  
2. Fill out the Background Check form.
3. Turn in a copy of their Social Security Card for the Background Check.
4. Read the “Code of Ethical Conduct” document and sign it.
5. Head Coach must take "Coaching to Make a Positive Difference" class and attain CYC ID card.
